We are a Southsea based artisan bakery and patisserie. Here at Bread Addiction we believe in the traditional way of making bread. Using only organic flour, pure water, sea salt, natural levain and a pair of hands to make our delicious bread.

Our aim is to renaissance artisan bakery in this city and its local community. We are also passionate for pastries and viennoiseries as well as for bread. Sourcing local and seasonal ingredients to ensure we know where our food comes from and to complement changing seasons with our baked goods.


Our naturally leavened Sourdough contains only three organic ingredients: Flour, Water and Sea Salt.

Here at Bread Addiction our philosophy is to keep things simple and let the ingredients speak for themselves. Our aim is to produce a memorable and tasty experience for anyone who comes in to have a treat. Every cake and tart are handmade in the bakery using only the finest seasonal produce.

We offer a variety of cakes and tarts for any occasion to serve up to 10 people. For larger quantities, catering enquiries or any further information, please contact us. 48 hours minimum notice must be given for orders.


We care about coffee just as much as our bread, that is why our baristas only use beans from multi award winning East London based roasters Square Mile. Different blends from across the globe are available alternating every three months.

Our coffee is available to drink in and can be enjoyed with your freshly baked morning croissant or made to take away.

Classes starts at 15:00 and will approximately finish at 20:00.
We offer hands on bread making classes led by our experienced bakers which are suitable for all skill levels.
During the class we will teach you the essential skills required for sourdough baking. You will have the opportunity to bake 3 different types of bread, that you will take home. As well as complementary:

  • Lunch (any dietary requirements, please let us know in advance)
  • Coffee / Tea
  • Recipes
  • Support after the class
  • Banetton

One class has a maximum capacity of up to 8 people
Price £100 inc.VAT/person

For a full refund 2 weeks + notice will be required. Any last minute cancellations (within 2 weeks of the class date) , full refund will only be offered if we can get you a replacement booking, otherwise only a 50% refund will be offered.
